During October, 4th grade students will be hard at work learning music for their Veterans Day program.  The program will be in the Nichols cafeteria at 1:30pm on November 11th.  Rhythm is the focus of our 4th grade curriculum in October.  4th grade students are learning to perform triplet and sixteenth note rhythms.

5th grade students are continuing to prepare their holiday program music.  They are enjoying their first real experience with part singing as we prepare for our December 5th program.  Rhythm is also a focus for 5th grade students in October.  We will be learning about syncopated rhythms and dotted eighth/sixteenth note combinations.

This month in music class, both 4th and 5th graders are learning how to improve their singing voices and beginning to prepare for their programs.  4th Graders will do a Veterans Day program on November 11th. 5th graders will perform a holiday program on December 5th.
