English Language Arts-Mrs. Tanner :                                                                                                                                    

I have LOTS of kids NOT doing their Reading/Grammar Logs!!!!  Progress reports are being sent home today with this Reading/Grammar grade on it!!!!  This will hurt their Reading grade!!!! Please make sure they are doing this homework at home.  We are reading the story Lunch Money this week in 5th grade and, we are reading the story Hercule’s Quest in 4th grade.

Mathematics-Mrs. Glenn:                                                                                                                                                             4th Grade will continue  working on standard algorithm of multiplication and dividing 2 and 3  digits by 1 digit. -- Please practice multiplication facts!!!  Weekly homework due FRIDAY!!                                                                                       

     5th Grade will continue working on  identifying triangles and begin measuring angles --  Weekly homework due FRIDAY!

Science-Mrs. Engelbrecht:  4th grade will continue their study  about plant and animal characteristics that are inherited.

5th grade will continue working on a report of an ecosystem that interests them. They will work on it this week and then present what they have learned to the class when we return from Thanksgiving break.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Social Studies/Writing-Mrs. Qualls:                                                                                                                                                4th and 5th grade:  This week we will be working on our Celebrate Freedom/Veteran’s Day newspaper.  We will be learning the meaning behind Veteran’s Day, why we celebrate it, how other countries celebrate it, and other interesting facts about this special day.


Progress Reports are being sent home today!!!

Tomorrow we are having a Family Reading/Social Studies night in the cafeteria and the library. It is from 5:00 to 6:00!!! Please come join us in some fun activities!!!!!!

Hat Day Thursday- Remember kids can pay $1.00 to wear a hat EVERY Thursday!!!

NO School ALL next week for Thanksgiving Break!!!!

Math News -    Remember your child can practice on IXL Math online. This is a program that our school provides to every student. Please continue to practice multiplication facts with your child. This is a 3rd grade skill and it is vital that they know them. In the event of a snow day, please have your child practice on IXL.  :)
